Product Introduction:
An RF microstrip circulator is a type of circulator designed using planar microstrip line technology. Its key feature is the realization of a planar and miniaturized signal circulation function, allowing it to be directly integrated into microwave PCBs as part of the circuit.
Product features:
Planar structure: Composed of metal strip lines (microstrip lines) deposited on a dielectric substrate, it is an integral component of the entire microwave integrated circuit (MIC).
High integration and miniaturization: It can be co-fabricated via photolithography on the same PCB along with other microstrip circuits (such as amplifiers, filters, and mixers), making it ideal for building compact microwave modules and subsystems.
Small size, light weight, and low cost: It eliminates bulky metal housings and connectors, featuring a very simple structure that facilitates mass production.
Performance trade-offs: Typically, they operate at lower power levels and may exhibit slightly inferior insertion loss and isolation performance compared to coaxial or waveguide structures. However, their unparalleled integration advantages represent their primary value.
Typical applications: Widely used in fields with stringent requirements for volume and integration, such as phased-array radar T/R modules, millimeter-wave communication frontends, and satellite receiving modules.
